This building, although quite standard on the outside has now been highlighted with RGBW led strip lighting around its façade, which can be seen on all sides from afar making it stand out from the crowd.
On entering you are met with a triple height Atrium space with a staircase that wraps around a coloured glass lift. In order to overcome the challenge of achieving the lux levels for the stairs we decided to follow the curves with led strip lighting throughout. This is complimented by large Circular Rings of light suspended at different heights from the top of the Atrium. The lighting in this space has created a very fluid organic feel.
The Breakout Areas are again lit with Circular Rings of Light with hanging vegetation and green rugs allowing this space to feel at one with nature bringing the outside in.
Meeting rooms have been left very clean with simple lines of linear lighting.
The Open plan Office spaces were very challenging as there are no ceilings at all with exposed duct work throughout. In order to achieve light levels in these areas we created suspended rafts installing recessed linear LED light fittings criss-crossed within. This achieves the lux levels required and also creates a fun and interesting environment to work in.
The canteen again is completely exposed. Here we suspended linear tubular light fittings with anti-glare creating a very homogenous light and relaxed environment for downtime. The kitchen areas being kept very individual with lots of hidden lighting and using accent downlights and pendants drawing people in.
The back staircase was kept very raw and industrial but by creating a wall of randomly spaced linear fittings we could add interest. The corridors which were also completely exposed were difficult to allow for standard and emergency light levels to be achieved. We did this by suspending continuous linear led with integrated emergency lighting to follow every corridor turn and corner seamlessly.
All fittings are DALI controlled, daylight and occupancy sensors and use UGR<19 diffusers throughout with the most efficient led chips.
